After traveling for .8 miles you will reach Alberta Falls, a spot that you don’t want to miss. It’s the best place for you if you want to take photos or have snacks.

Keep climbing your way up to the trail and through various switchbacks, you will reach the Loch. Loch is about 3 miles into the hike and the elevation here is 10,192′. You can take a break here and hang out for a while before continuing your journey. You need to good footwear and must be patient as the hike is a bit tricky and there is space for only one hiker at a time.

Hikers will first reach the Lake of Glass which is just 0.25 miles beyond the Timberline Falls. Many hikers confused Lake of Glass with Sky Pond, but, you shouldn’t do it. If you continue your trail for another 0.25 miles you will reach your destination i.e. Sky Pond. Sky Pond is twice as large as Lake of Glass and it’s also more beautiful. It is surrounded by wildflowers such as columbines.

There is a parking lot at Glacier Gorge trailhead; you can park your vehicles there. But, this parking lot is smaller in size, so, you need to get there early or you won’t find a spot. If you don’t find any spot, there are other parking lots as well. You can go to Bear Lake trailhead, park your cars there and start your hike.
